My local dealership were really good with me, My GT 6 speed was $58K drive away including the $500 silver wheel option. But that was September 2015. I didn't even haggle with them, I was happy, my Ford Ranger cost more in 2013.

Other dealerships asking stupid prices only do themselves discredit. Trouble is there are a lot of dickheads out there, when you find a good dealership, stick with them.
That's pretty good, although I think Vic is a bit cheaper than NSW, I managed mine for 60k drive away

Yeah not sure what's going on with the interstate dealers... Ordered mine a month ago; managed 61.5k drive away.

Manual GT fastback in lightning blue.

Really hoping that the lead time doesn't blow out because as it is the wait is going to drive me insane!

Thats a decent price especially considering the price rises. Feel free to come down to our meets to have a look at some Mustangs during your wait

A stock 5.0 here in NZ is now $79,000 more or less drive away. Its not cheap living in Godzone, 95 octane petrol is $2.00 litre, 98 octane I believe is another 10 cents litre. If it wasn't for you Aussies, I cant imagine we'd have a right hand drive option, so :cheers:to you chaps. You are the lucky ones so buy now as I cant imagine the price is about to fall at this point in time. Then wait.

Question- What prices are they advertising S550's on the secondhand market, I know over here some are asking $80K or more

Hi Paul, From what I can tell there are 8 secondhand V8 S550's on the market currently with asking prices in the order of $72 - $78k depending on miles. A couple with mods done are asking about $85k. Of note we pay the same here for a manual or auto new.

I guess I am one of the luck ones.

Ordered in Oct 2015, arrived end Aug 2016

Build quality is excellent, with my only gripe being a slight alignment issue on the passenger door.

It's a 2017 MY and I credit my build to being at the mature end of the model cycle.

For those still waiting, thebwait is worth it. Hang in there!

How bad is the misalignment of the passenger door mate ?

Minor/Negligible

It's just about how the passenger window catches a little when closing. May actually not be door alignment issue, but rather the rubbers on the door.

I noted it atbdelivery and will have it sorted at the first service.

That's te only concern that I have. It's so much car for the money!

It is good to hear the panel fit has improved. Some of the earlier dealer demos cars were shockers. The wait sounds as if it is going to be worth it.

still supply trouble in Australia, yet there's a thread recently posted in the General Forums ("Ford shuts Flat Rock for a week- 32% sales drop") suggesting they're winding-back production at Flat Rock because sales are falling in the US !

Yeah, how bad is that? They shut down the line for a week instead of making more RHD models?! I know there's reliance on a bunch of other parts, etc, which are probably what's really causing the waits... but what a frustrating bit of news for anyone outside the US waiting on a Mustang!
