For anyone with a VIN issued last week try Ford Service U.S. on this forum for further information. Ford AU on facebook told me late January build, but Ford Service said tentatively scheduled for build week beginning 19 December so a month earlier and only a week away. Things could be moving very quickly for some of you too! Good Luck!

Not yet just the basic info - no colour etc - assuming that updates each Thursday I would think that info should be there tomorrow.

I'd say Ford have held off issuing any NSC's VIN's etc so there is no lag and things should happen a lot quicker for everyone, meaning a lot less work for them to manage customer expectations. :amen:

Nothing much will change in ETIS about your car except the minor features list will get longer. You will always see the red car even if you did not order a red one. Pointless even looking back at it.

I have my NSC, but who should I ask about my VIN? Tried Ford Australia via FB and they told me to come back next year.

Dealer has not advised anything further, other than saying they 'expect Mustang to arrive at dealership in March 17'.

I'd kinda like to know when she's being built...

ETIS is a European site. Your car may not get any significant updates on there (mine didn't). But COTUS (http://www.cotus.ford.com) is a US site and it does get up-to-date information.

Once you see your car on there, you are in the queue. When the status changes to "In Transit" contact Deysha (@FordService) and she should be able to tell you when your car arrives/arrived at Baltimore.

I received my VIN from Ford Auatralia on Facebook about 2 months after receiving my NSC. I would send them a facebook inbox every couple of weeks until they got back to me saying "your vehicle does have a VIN and it is .................". Until they could give it to me I would get the automated message that you are getting. So, keep messaging Ford Australia until you suddenly get it. I doubt if you will hear anything from your dealer etc. My car arrives in 2 weeks and the only correspondence I have received is an email from Ford last week stating that my car had just been built, and actually it had just passed through the Panama Canal on its way to Port Kembla. The dealers don't give a stuff about us.

I'm in the same boat(pun) as you.

Except I am expecting May. So probably won't be in the same boat as you.

Ford Aus told me last Thursday no VIN and to come back end of month but then I contacted them again on Monday and they had my VIN - you got your NSC same day as me so I would assume the VIN should be available.

They are pretty helpful on facebook but don't mind extending the time that you should next contact them for further information. Tell them that others have their VIN's now with an NSC issued after you and if they would kindly check again.

Fingers crossed you get some more info because most NSC's from 25/11/16 had a VIN issued within a week - no reason that should be any different for you....

Thanks. Went onto cotus and I now have an ETD of Feb 10th. Very encouraging :). Don't have a build date yet but I doubt it is end of Jan as per Ford AU.

I ordered April as well. Had to call the dealer for my NSC today, then messaged Ford on Facebook and they replied a few hours later with my VIN and a "late january build" and the "check back with us in the new year and we will give you an update".

Yeah my dealer has told me a February build, but Ford FB tells me there is no VIN yet. It seems that the random allocation of this stuff continues!

I ordered my Mustang GT on the 14/01/2016 and recived my NSC on the 20/07/2016, However around the start of October I messsaged Ford Australia on FB about my VIN and they told me my car was in production and to message back in a few weeks and my car should be on the train to the port. However to this date ford can still not give me a vin or provide any new information on my car and I'm in constant contact every week via FB.

VIN usually gets allocated a few weeks prior to production so if yours has been built it should have one...
