Mine sat at the docks at Baltimore for about 5 weeks before being loaded. The "track and Trace" will not show anything until it is actually loaded then up it pops and you will see your info for your car.Cheers everyone! I am not showing up yet so I will check daily from now. Not that it changes anything by cehcking all the time but it has been such a long wait you just want to know.
I have been reading such horror stories with these latest cars shipped to Austrlia having damage and poor fitment seeming to fit rushed builds. Its such an anxious worry to think it might happen to you too.
Congrats! Thats Awesome news :clap2:Finally !! On the Tamerlane. Fremantle on the 27th jan
CONGRATULATIONS :cheers:Finally !! On the Tamerlane. Fremantle on the 27th jan
Thank you for the time you took to write your comments. That makes me feel so much better and all of the information is extremely appreciated. The dealears make you feel so important up until you sign the Contract then after that its like your dumped into a black hole and then you have to find your own way back out.Mine sat at the docks at Baltimore for about 5 weeks before being loaded. You can follow the transit of your boat on "marinetraffic.com" just to add to your excitement. There are other sites like "findship" and "vesselfinder" but I find "marinetraffic" the best.
Forget about contacting the dealers or ford Australia mate as they are completely useless. I finally got an email last week to say that mine had just been built and it had actually just sailed through the Panama Canal. It is now just leaving Papeete in Tahiti and arrives at Auckland next Wed. Gets to Port Kembla on the 21st Dec.
As far as damage etc goes I heard that most of the problems have been fixed and Aussies are now very happy with what is arriving here. All cars that arrive (not just Mustangs) generally end up at a panel shop getting some things fixed eg dents, scratches. I have a mate that owns a panel shop and he does all the Lexus's when they get here and you should see some of the things he has to fix!!!! Only some though, not all of them.
Anyway mate enjoy the rest of this long journey and just think - it is nearly over for you - 4 to 5 weeks after it is on the boat you'll be pressing that little starter motor and hooning around Aussie land. My pain is almost over thank heavens - it hasn't done my bi polar any good at all, lol. Christ it's been a long year but then looking back when I ordered and was told I wouldn't get it until June 2017 and now I am about to pick it up, so I cannot really complain as 10 months wait I suppose is magnificent considering. Cheers - enjoy:hail:
