Hey guys, I'm new here. I'm looking into leasing a mustang gt. I searched the forums and couldn't find much info. I know most people are probably going to say its stupid but lets put it this way, it'll be my fourth car in about 6 years so it makes sense for me. I visited a dealership and test drove the gt and fell in love with it. They tried pressuring me to give my info so run a credit check but I'm not ready to take the jump until I do my research. Just by sitting and talking for 5 minutes, they went down from 550 a month to "somewhere in the 4's". So, is anyone leasing a gt or is that unheard of? Because this dealership said I'd have to go through a bank, not through ford.

There was another thread on here with someone talking about leasing a GT. I don't remember the specifics but the gist was that Ford doesn't usually like to lease them since a lot of people drive them pretty hard. Because of that you are unlikely to get very favorable terms or rates leasing a Mustang GT through Ford. Sounds like what the dealer tolds you lines up with that.

I think it's always been a thing with the GT. Ford's never offered a lease program on it as far as I can remember, and you have to go to an outside lender. That's probably not that bad of a thing if you have excellent credit; I'm sure you can find a lender with decent terms.

That's so weird. You can go lease any amg or any M car. And now Dodge has some pretty good lease deals on its new challenger too. I'd rather have the mustang, but I wouldn't want to buy it.

Ya that makes sense, it's just more of a hassle having to go through another lender. Plus it seems like no one has leased a gt so I'm not sure on what a good deal would be.

You can lease a Mustang GT through Ford Motor Credit Co at a minimum rate of about 8.5% for 24 months if you are A-plan (Ford Employee or nuclear family). If you are not add 1.5% so about 10% to lease through FMCC. When you run the numbers residual money factor etc.. you end up with a payment that is higher than what it would cost to buy the car at a 72 month term. I do know some other banks do offer leasing but I do not know their rates.

I leased several cars from them, they always had the lowest rates.
I don't think they have 2015 pricing up on there site yet. The rates are always changing, so check back frequently. I waited till the right time and got my 12 GT500 for $2000 down and $560 mo. 36mo. lease

I know I'm reviving an old thread but just spoke with my local dealer and was told ford will start to lease the gt models once supply is more abundant and the 14's or off the new car lots.
