Help identify this GT engine clatter

My guess it's something loose in the resonator when cold, and after the exhaust gets warmed up it goes away. If you rev the engine up & down in neutral when it's still cold will it make the same noise?

Seems like your first guess was right. After leaving the car overnight at Ford, they successfully replicated the noise this morning. I got an e-mail now saying they've ordered a new resonator for me, and that it's covered by warranty.

Phew, glad that was it. Good luck. Try to get them next to your car after the repair for the cold start.

The sound was the front resonator. Got a new one a couple of days ago, and the sound is gone.

Hi Nugatti, do you mean the catalytic converter? The resonator is in the middle of the car, the cats are in the front. My car makes the same sound.

This is the same sound I have but not that loud. No one knew what it was since no one posted a single answer in my topic but glad I found this one. Gonna talk to the guys next time i take it for the oil change.
