Just thought I'd share a fun little mustang tribute I put together in my garage featuring all my favorite models through the generations in 1/64 scale. And then of course the main attraction, 1/18 scale replica of my car. Well, almost a replica, since it doesn't have a GT350 spoiler or black painted roof/side mirrors/hood vents. But I can always add those touches down the line.

Building models and trains growing up were some of the funnest activities. We used to cruise through model stores crammed with everything imaginable. It's great you have the skills to not only make the cars, but the backgrounds, cases and displays for them.

Looks fantastic. :like:

Ahh thanks. I wish I could take full credit, but those are just Amazon bought cases and die cast cars, albeit much more detailed and expensive than simple Hot Wheels lol. I did all the decals though and added some 1/64 scale shop tools to spice it up a bit more.

If anyone is interested, Greenlight Collectibles and Auto World are the brands of die cast cars I used. They're nicely detailed for that small of a size, and they mostly use factory paint colors.

Also...sorry to any lovers of the SN95s/ New Edges. I didn't include them because I never cared for those years personally. The new edges from 99-04 were OK. Maybe I'll replace one of the GT fox bodies with one of those eventually...the notch back must stay lol.

Nice, I have a collection of 1:18 scale die casts of each Mustang generation on a shelf in my home office. Except 74-78 Mustang II, been having a hard time finding one of those.

Nice. Sounds like a great collection.

They actually do make a 1/64 mustang cobra ll. I have bins of various 1/24 and 1/18 scale cars in my house from when I collected them as a kid. I'm waiting for my sons to get old enough to give them to them

Auto World makes nice stuff, I have a few. AutoArt is really nice too, I have a GT350 made by AutoArt. Most of my cars are Maisto, all 1:18 scale except Eleanor which is 1:24 by Greenlight.

Your setup looks great! Jealous of all you guys that have room in your garages for stuff like that. I need to build a shed to put all my yard maintenance crap in so I can do stuff like that in my garage.

Thank you. Yea I just finished a project in there closing in the back wall where that display is. Used to be two large useless drafty windows, and I needed the wall space to extend my workbench and storage space. But once that was all done, I saved a little spot for me to just have a little fun with. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy lol ...Came out nice.

That looks awesome, I might have to try and put together something like that.

Looks good! Did you employ some 3D printing for the garage or did you just scratchbuild stuff?
If you bought anything for the garage, where did you get it?

Thanks. No 3d printing. I wish I was skilled enough to build it all from scratch. But I just searched for 1/64 scale garage LED display cases and saw a bunch on Amazon and eBay etc. I added some 1/64 scale decals, which were a pain because they weren't die cut. Had to cut them all slowly with an exacto knife. And the small shop tools were also an online search for diorama garage equipment. Then it was a matter of finding all the specific years/models/trims I liked throughout all the generations and researching which brand die cast cars were true to scale. It was a fun little project.incan send you some links if you want.

Very nicely done! I spent so much time on my garage in my last house that I just don’t even want to start all over. Maybe now I will after seeing yours!
