irst tune on it was off - random misfires, on cold starts ran really rough. Sent in logs for a revision and after that tune, the car wouldn't accelerate past 4k rpms, would just bog down.
we need to know who these people are. It's not 'hateful' to post so the rest of us can avoid or at least be forewarned.

The first tune was from 5 Star Tuning - they have a pretty good reputation tuning Ford trucks, but I'm thinking it hasn't translated well over to Mustangs. At least not in my case.

go back to a different (stock or reduced diameter) and see if that solves the problem. The Steeda unit has anecdotal evidence suggesting the MAF sensor reads unreliably in their setup. Pity we can't retrofit a blade (reed) valve to prevent or minimize back-flow.
Interesting. Thanks for that tid bit.

My tuner is a local guy who is a personal friend. Kind of touchy/sticky for me to even go to a different tune. Thus the original post about functionality of having him email me the stock tune and then loading that on an ngauge. That might circumvent that awkward conversation about maybe his tune isn’t ideal. I have asked him a few questions about my data and he just kind of shrugs it off. He does mostly GM stuff for camaros and vettes but wanted a shot at my mustang. He does good stuff with GM products and has tuned some beasts. So I thought, why not give him a shot at it. You have to know him to get a tune from him. He is not on the internet or a website. Pretty sure you guys aren’t in any danger.

then fire your tuner. Friend or no friend he is not responsive to the customer.

Then I hope he gave you the map for free. You're not doing his future business any favors by not being blunt and telling him "dude, your map sucks ass". Maybe he'll rise to the challenge and figure out what's wrong with what he did so he can have future Mustang work, or he'll just retreat to his comfort zone. Honesty is always the correct answer. Feelings be damned.
