I have a muffler delete to and it sounds great
Anthony, just a quick question- why would you ever drive the Mustang when you have a Jag F-Type- which does have one of the best sounding exhausts ever!

So by deleting mufflers this same note can be achievable? It really does sound better than most of the aftermarket, does it crackle and pop ? Thanks show7ime

Yes, but keep the resonator. Not really any crackle and pop on normal acceleration, but at WOT it does occur.

Hope my videos help those make a decision.

I really like the sound out of it. If you don't mind, can you PM what was the cost and also where I can find it?(Website)! Thanks.

Congrats

I went to Exhaust Works in Tucson, AZ. I paid 180 out the door (parts and labor).

Went to Exhaust Works too, they do good work. If you want to hear what it sounds like with a downpipe let me know.

There are quite a few of us in these forums from Arizona. Another member lives 15 min from me. We should do a meet and greet.

You mind posting a few pics of underneath your car after the delete?

They just finished it and damn, whole new car, what I got done was a resonator delete, and both mufflers deleted as well, it sounds menacing you can hear the turbo thru the rear end on acceleration. 15ECO-OKC never took underneath shots but I will be putting a YouTube video showcasing it I'll post it in this thread.

Subscribed.

Might be doing this inexpensive setup for the summer.

I did the muffler delete for $60 at a local muffler shop and its a toss up between that and the $60 boomba BOV for "best bang for buck". I wish it was always this easy to get a mild growl to enhance the ride.

I did the same thing with my car.... no mufflers and resonator.... I did not think it sounded all that great. Well, to put bluntly, I did not care for it after maybe a week.

To me my car sounded better over computer speakers than in person. And it always sounds like crap next to a V8.

I ended up going with magnaflow mufflers. Now the car sounds pretty good.... for a 4. lol

But hey, I'm the person who wishes he had kept the stock mufflers and went more with the "turbo sound" vs. trying to make the car sound like something else.

Jtmat,

1. Your problem was removing the resonator.

2. What is the obsession with trying to sound like a V8 or comparing it to a V8? It's not and I'm sure 100% of us who bought the an Ecoboost or V6 are well aware.

I've owned V8s (last one being an 5th Gen SLP Camaro) and I've owned Japanese cars.

I removed the muffler and changed the BOV for sound. It was way too quite and tame. Never was the intention to pretend it's something it's not.

I'm quite happy and proud to say it's an Ecoboost actually. Great damn car. 35mpg going over 85 mph and fast street car.

If I wanted another V8 I would have bought the new Camaro.

Maybe you should have bought something else?

1. Negative... did not remove it. Thanks...

2. Just an observation on the sound. That is about it....

LOL.... why should I have bought something else? Because I think the car does not sound well with the muffler off? No... that is silly. Just my opinion having done this last year.

I love my car... don't want or need anything else. Thank you. ;)

Hey, lighten up... I'll exit your thread now... not here to argue about something that no one really cares about.
