Does either side have to come out to remove the trans? Is it possible to drop it straight out or does it need to be tilted/rotated to allow the starter recess in the bell housing to clear the passenger side tubes? It looks very close from underneath the car.

Was also curious about the longtubes needing to be removed if I replace my clutch, want to install longtubes and later replace my clutch but didn't want to do the job twice just to change the clutch especially since the longtube removal is such a pita

yea i hear ya on that, but my kooks headers made pulling the trans much easier than when i had stock headers, i have done it both ways now and much prefer it with my longtubes
