MT-82 D4 gearing question

It's completely normal to downshift more than 1 gear unless you end up overrevving an engine. You will be more than fine doing it. I have non-rev matched D4 and have done it many times.

I upshift multiple gears too sometimes . ie 3-5 or 2-4. With the short ratios of the Tremec it is totally doable in the right situation...

...And the D4 2nd gear is good to 78mph or so.
4th gear and up will trip the speed limiter before the rev limiter.
