That's my dealership and, yes, we agreed to sell this '15 GT350R for MSRP. Customer was hand picked by Ford and he could have assigned the sale to any Ford dealership nationwide. We agreed to sell it at MSRP as it did not come out of our allocation, so we earned this local customer's business by doing so. He is a very serious Shelby collector with an impressive collection, hence why Ford hand picked him to buy one of the 37 '15 GT350R's.

The 15s are definitely an exception. I'm sure many of them went for MSRP to VPs/execs etc. and they were not charged ADM because of who they are.

I would guess out of the 137 (100 and 37 Rs) total 2015s only under 10 or so were made available to the general public overall.

So all but ten of the dealers who were lucky enough to get an allocation through the supposed lottery have sold their 2015 allocations back to Ford employees for MSRP? Do you drink much?

Where did I say Ford employees? I said VIPs (should have been not VPs) and execs. It could be celebs, politicians, CEOs etc. I guarantee Jay Leno got one for instance for his collection.

Not very many were for sale to the open public, you can ask any Ford employee on this site if they heard of many 2015s for sale to the general public. I've seen 2-3 people posting that they got a 2015, and only through connections to important people higher up.

My 2015 was by an act of God vesus any other manner. Although, it would have been great to say I was a VIP ;)

Thank You indeed for the clarification my friend. Its good that we have someone here who is enlightened to the degree that you are regarding these matters.

Believe what you want. People in the know who work at Ford or dealerships here have already said long ago that most of the 2015s they were spoken for before they were even open for ordering. There are only a FEW out there that the general public will get their hands on. As per above, we know of 2-3 total around here, and I believe 1 of the 3 got it through connections to higher ups at Ford so it wasn't a walk in the dealership and try to order it randomly. There are only 137 cars total- 100 350s and 37 Rs.

They mainly went to high level people who don't walk into a dealership to buy a car, or were engineers for this car, or test drivers, etc.; people with direct connections to Ford corporate. This means no ADM as the dealership merely facilitated that sale essentially from Ford direct to the buyer.

I'm being told the Tech package is 13k over the cost of the base model.


I thought it was more like a 6 or 7k option. Just want to know the real facts.

He swore up and down his pricing was correct. So I want'ed to get some confirmation just incase something changed before I corrected him. I'm not looking to insult the person I'm trying to order my car from by telling him he's wrong. I want to show him what the facts are and discuss things with him.

So people who work in car dealerships have told you who all these cars are going too and exactly how much is being paid for them. Certainly nice of Ford to make a private batch of these cars for the who's who of the world.

I know... That's what I told him... He was so confident in what he was saying I can only attribute it to Salesman syndrome. He was trying to sell me on what he believed not what I knew.

He had the ordering guide in front of him with prices but was not translating the information correctly.

Granted when I look at the same information upon first look I see numbers and packages but without knowing what goes where I can see where he can make those pricing mistakes.

In any case I straightened him out. 56,670k MSRP and I'm absorbing his allocation fee. However for the "R" he's got a markup hovering around 10K....But I'm working on him to get real. and throwing some other car makes in his face for that asking price that would net the same fun factor with a ton of more amenities.

Ford really needs to police these dealers. It really tarnishes their reputation to have dealers to hanging their deep pocket paydays on these cars.
