For what it is worth I see Ford Performance just released 3 tunes for the Gt
I'd be surprised if they offer anything for the V6. No tunes were offered for the previous years V6 model and as much as the ecoboost is being pushed, they'd probably offer something for it first. Time will tell I guess.

:frusty:I just do not get it,it can not cost Ford that much to come out with a tune. The GT shares the same the auto 6 speed

They very well could come out with one for the V6. I'm just not optimistic seeing as how they didn't even offer a premium option for the car and removed the 051a package for v6 coupes.

Holly crap, was the minimal 051A package deleted for 2016 0r 2017? So it is only avail for convertible now? That bad news hints to further the V6 phase out rumors. :tsk:

So we'll see even fewer 18" Foundry wheels down the road (Though you do see the option on the rare GT).

Ran on the track today with 91 prx tune. 20 passes later and I got my time down to 14.11 (from consistent 14.9/15.0). Best (or worst) part was that 2 of my best runs I spun like crazy in first, but once it hooked I did my best times. Running on stock 235-55-17 hankooks @ 26.5 psi in the rear.

whats your altitude, and what were the temps? that's a big improvement. I know when im doing track aps testing, my best times are when I spin a little. when these 3.7s dead hook, with stock gears....they don't have the tq to pull them off the line like a v8.

sorry if this might hijack this group but I am new to tuning cars all my other cars I would just swap out the exhaust and I was done, I have a 2015 Ford Mustang V6 3.7 and just started to look at tunes for the car only had it a year and all I have done to it was put on the GT strut tower Brace and swapped out my stock exhaust with a stock GT exhaust , See I told you that I just change out the exhaust LOL, in looking for tunes for the car no one is doing them for it I think I found a total of 3 people, so here is the question I like the nGauge would look nice mounted in the center AC vent of the car st we have 3 of them so far I can not find anyone that tunes for the v6 on the nGauge , It looks like all I can find is for the SCT x4 tuner so dose MPT write tunes that I would be able to use the nGauge with ? I just ordered a cold air intake for the car the Airiad closed box one so tune may be coming sooner then I plained. Again sorry if this is in the wrong place Mark

from what I know I believe for the v6 you can only use the SCT tuner.

~25C with nice cool wind
Engine never passed more than 100C
Air temps didn't go above 50C

Just to clarify:

1. When I buy the tuner device, it comes pre-loaded with 3 generic tunes?

2. I contact MPT and they give me three additional custom tunes for a fee?

3. I load the MPT tunes onto the tuning device and flash the car?

Pretty much. Once you receive the package, you'll see instructions on how to get your MPT custom tunes. You use your new device to retrieve info from the vehicle, then you'll submit a tune form through their website. Your tunes will then be built to your specs and emailed over along with instructions on how to load them to the programmer.

Ok perfect. I just wanted to make sure I fully understood the process. I started off hunting for a GT and the #s just wouldn't add up. Started doing some research on the 3.7 and I'm impressed. Great value and I have this tune to look forward to. Sweet!
