... but I didn't expect that Mustang wouldn't really outperorm the 1LE.
Eh, I guess I'm cynical but once I saw the 1LE best the Boss 302 it seemed clear to me that Ford wasn't interested in selling us an A+ product, they apparently thought a B product was good enough. Camaro did a better job with a heavier car for around 6k less.

I hope we don't see Ford return to the 90's where the Camaro was just a better performer overall.

I thought they were going to dyno test it?

It has lots of grip, obviously MT didn't like it. The performance is there.

At which point did the Camaro ever outperform the Mustangs in the 90's?

According to the multiple of reviews today they mentioned it seemed as the front and rear suspension werent in harmony as if they werent communicating
the 2015 Mustang didn't feel as nimble or competent as the Boss; it didn't feel like the front and rear ends were talking to each other.
Thank you. That makes sense. I remember the original rumors were the 15 Mustang was to be lighter, smaller and more dynamic. It's too bad they made it larger and fatter. The body style I like, the weight concerns me a bit.

Sigh. There's a reason why they we giving politician answers to performance questions. This is on Ford. There's absolutely no reason that this car shouldn't be able to take a 1le. I'm starting to question if this will take a Boss.

In the 90's I had a 98 SS and it stomped Mustangs like wounded puppies. Shit, I bet it would have smoked 2010+ SS's...the reason I bought my 13 is because this coyote is bad to the bone, better than the ls1, ls3 imo.

This is why I'm waiting 2 to 3 years before thinking of buying one. There will be improvements, guaranteed, especially after the new Camaro is out.

They said the weight was 3814 for the PP GT. I wonder how much less a base will be?

Also, are they correct in saying the old model was 196 lbs. lighter? I didn't think the 2011-2014 GT's were 36XX lbs.

I'll like to see more road tests from non-magazine people though before I pass any judgement on the performance.

This..Ford is serious now FINALLY and I think waiting for camaro will be smarter on your wallet, lets hope the 2015 is not 2010 all over again. I know Ford has more tricks up their sleeves.

On which planet is a Camaro 6k less than any Mustang? Did you mean the other way around?

Perhaps the entire time period? I'm not sure there was a point when the Mustang was faster. I'm going off 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times for comparative models.
Sorry I was going off of reality at the drag strip and my customer base that drove 90 % Mustangs. Camaros were a joke. We used to call them an over grown Geo.

That was my thinking when I bought a '14 GT. Comparing the '05 to the '14 shows a world of difference, and I figured something similar would happen with the '15. Since I didn't want to wait until 2017 or beyond to buy a new car, I bought one last year. These reviews are making me feel pretty good about my decision. Not that it's bad, just that it's not where I think it can be in a few years.

Fords 50 year party was all about going global. Not about giving the enthusiast and the loyal following what they wanted. I'm some what disappointed.
