I shall do my car when I get to yours, then we can do yours.
Has it got SCT Octane 93 pre-loaded? Check with Beefcake to make sure it will just work out the box or if you need to connect it up to the internet first to download the tunes to it for your car.
Also connect it to your laptop anyway, the handheld will normally update itself which needs to be done before it can flash your car.

If you live local to someone instead of you both buying one why not just one of you buy one and just share the usage as/when needed.
So my thought was I could just buy a lund tune drive to gibbo's put tune on his x4 and map it to mine each time even if I gave him ÂŁ5 for letting me borrow it its still cheaper than me buying something for effectively needing it only once
Obviously simplified in my head but the initial thought was the other way around if I bought one then others near me would be welcome to bring their car + map on a usb stick and i'd use my box to flash their car (I already do this with the snapon diagnostics thingie I have for other cars)

It doesn't work like that mate...
I have a superchips tuner for my Jeep, it's locked into the ECU, so if I try and use it on a mates jeep I have to return mine to factory set up before it'll allow me to use it on another vehicle...
Im pretty sure the SCT is the same......it's married to your car, and the only way you can use it on another car is to put yours back to standard which unmarried it...
That's my understanding anyway

Plug it in your car, you have to ram it pretty hard through the Sync system.
