Make sure the AC line is not hitting the header on the passenger side.. try to use a GoPro under the hood to see if you can spot anything
Will check Sonic! I have looked through everything I could think of, but I will look again. I'm not beyond checking anything at this point.

I cannot post the .csv on here through the attachments file, and I tried saving it via .pdf and posting it, but the file was too big. I will try to shrink the file to the pertintent info for .pdf and see if I can do it that way. Thanks for your help

looks just like the recent procharger system that had false knock. Check your belt tensioner. Check everything. things dont need to be super tight but just a little loose and they can make noise.

Yes I did. Exactly the same result....

I honestly thought it was the tune at first. So after several attempts at fixing the cause, I thought I would switch back to 93 oct to show them but had + knock again.... but before ever going e85 I never had any....

Who did you get to turn them off? I think it is very rare to get them turned off by a tuner..
Sadly its not rare... :(
And nearly never ever should be done in any way at all.

Mine has been off in my car(TT) from day one(with tuner) but now starting to wonder after 2 engine failures if this a great idea.:frosty:
Sorry to hear of your loss (or losses)

I did a retune for a friend with a TT car, and sure as heck they were turned off by his previous tuner. :( Lucky no engine damage happened. After a retune he now has 200 more HP, and a fully functioning knock system as factor intended.

In a perfect world yes you want them on. I redid everything on the car last year multiple times and could not get rid of the false knock. Verified it was false by running straight 100 race gas. I would not suggest running without knock sensors on pump gas.

It was either urn knock sensors off or remove the 9000 kit I just installed. I am not the only one who's had these issues.

I don't doubt that every case is different.

I was just talking about the guy I quoted (with the engine failures)....and my good friends car that I redid.

For my buddy, he was told "they have to be turned off" and "it's false knock"
Well, BOTH of these turned out to be 100% untrue. With NO hardware changes at all. (The long and short of it,...the previous file had the incorrect cam schedule being commanded and was calling for WAY too much timing 80% of the time it was under moderate or heavy load)

They don't make it easy these days thats for sure. :)

Thanks for the input.

I do agree with you Procharger Tech, however I have spent more time looking for knock than I have in total doing all modifications I have done...including S/C install, fuel, suspension, etc. So, unless I sell the car and just start over, this is my fix for now....in hopes I'll come across the source soon.

My tuner and I have come to the agreement of desensitizing my knock sensors...and I will continue the search for the source of the false knock. Hopefully I find it, but in the mean time my car is a MONSTER compared to how it has been feeling since going e85. Mostly I have been seeing 11-15* timing on my pulls. Now I am seeing 19-20*! Definitely woke my car up!

This is done with the understanding that I will listen to my car if it starts acting funny, running wrong, or anything out of the ordinary doesn't feel right...and that I have a little more knowledge than the average joe that throws a crazy tune on their car.
