I want to change my as-built tire diameter hex data value for my Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S 315/35/17 drag radials. When I am at the drag strip I lower the tire pressure to 17psi. I wonder how much additional "squishing" factor there might be over the 96.7% circumference figure Ford is using?

Any ideas on how much additional "squish" factor I should consider with the tires at 17psi or what I should change the hex value to?

Mickey Thompson's website list the diameter as 25.9 inches and circumference as 81.4 inches for this tire. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip/et-street-ss/

Mickey Thompson 315/35/17 website data:
Diameter: 25.9” / 657.859mm

Circumference MT website: 81.4” 2067.56mm
2067 x 0.967 = 1998.789
Hexadecimal Value: 7CE

2067 X β€œMickey Thompson squish" 0.963 = 1990.521
Hexadecimal Value: 7C6
Best way to find out is GPS.

What is the difference in using this software compared to having to buy a ids tool and renting that software. If u can flash bcm and pcm's without buying that ids tool i dont see why everyone would not be doing it this way.Hell u guys are saying u dont even need the j2534 pass through for making the changes u are making.

I have access to a ids with a ford tech I know. We tried for an hour but it would not change the axle ratio after I swapped gears. I went this route and did it in 10 minutes.

Is there an up to date spreadsheet with verified changes?

Does anyone have a link of a guide to modify the BCM for gear changes? I tried searching but have found nothing... I know I have seen a guide before...

Just for your information, I found on eBay this adapter that works perfectly with FORSCAN, as it can read and write HS and MS-CAN modules, without the need of an expensive Bluetooth or WiFi adapter:

ELM327 USB modified for Ford ELMconfig FTDI chip HSCAN / MSCAN Forscan OBD2
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM327-US...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

It's of great quality and very easy to use.

For now I used it to change the following modules:

Active noise cancellation (727-01-01)
Lock doors on motion (726-15-01)
Double horn honk reminder (726-41-02)
Secure idle (726-42-01)

I also wanted to enable Police Dark Mode (726-32-01), but unfortunately, if this module is enabled, all lights are off when opening the doors (including the side pony holograms). I only wanted the dome lights to be turned off when unlocking and opening the doors.

Anyone knows how to do this?

Can you change the VIN in control modules withthis software? I thought you needed an IDS tool to change VINs.

By the way, wouldn't it be nice if we had the side pony LED projectors constantly on? I guess this is hidden somewhere in one of the modules, we just have to figure out where... We need a FORSCAN guru for that!

That would go back to module programming, not as-built configuration. There is no factory option for that.

Plus, have you ever caught a glimpse of one of those reflecting off of a puddle? Blinding.

It's impossible to compare back and forth my speedometer reading to GPS speed reading during a pass at the dragstrip.

My main goal is to have the the correct diameter value so the electronic controls do not think the rear wheels are spinning and start to limit torque and/or power when racing. I'm not concerned with actual speedometer correction. I'm concerned with maximum power.

How aggressive is the LE presence in your area that you can't do a quick test on the highway with your drag tires?

I think... I guess I could be mistaken... the 1/8 and 1/4 mile dragstrip would be a prime place to turn the nannies off. ...but maybe not.

I posted this earlier, my findings on where the VIN is in the as-built. I haven't tried modifying it.

I don't know if this has been covered before, but this is Ford's method for encoding the VIN in the as-built.

30 = 0, 31 = 1, 32 = 2 [.. etc ..] 39 = 9, 41 = A, 42 = B, 43 = C [...etc..] 49 = I, 4A = J, 4B = K [..etc..] 4F = O, 50 = P, 51 = Q [... etc ..] 59 = Y, 5A = Z

Seems to show up in
760-01-01 through 760-01-04 (ABS)
7A7-02-01 through 7A7-01-04 (FCIM)
726-09-01 through 726-11-01 (BCM)
737-01-01 through 737-01-04 (RCM)
