Modified Exhaust Ticket

So a few weeks ago I got a fix it ticket. Talk about a pain!!! So apparently I have to get a Db check and if I get 3 fix it tickets for modified exhaust I get my car impounded. How much of that is actually true? I feel like the sherif was just yanking my chain. Can they actually do that?

LACSD can impound your vehicle right there & there as technically, said vehicle cannot be on public streets.

Just curious, was the ticket written in SoCal anywhere near or in the Malibu Canyon area? The Rock Store? Lots of cites written in that area for exhaust mods on cars and motorcycles due to hundreds of homeowner complaints. And yes, the gov't can and will impound the vehicles.

It's just so annoying how I get thumbs up by male officers and sheriffs but this one female officer pulled me over lol I guess dumb luck ran out

Northern California used to be pretty chill, and the perfect weather was nice when I was a kid, but at this point I truly am just here for the money.

It's fun to be able to go out and do whatever you want all year, as long as you don't mind sitting in an hour and a half traffic to drive 30 miles to get there, don't mind it being crowded and bumping into people after pulling off the road and hiking into the middle of the forest for a picknick, don't mind paying the highest tax in the nation on just about everything, dont mind knowing that aside from cops the only people running around here with guns are those with little/nothing to lose.

I'm still holding on, but for how much longer, I'm not sure.

LACSD in that area are generally MTA or court deputies. When I lived in Simi, they had a small station on Topanga and Lassen I believe. Not sure if it's still there. I f@cking hate the SFV. (Yeah I grew up in that mess of a place)

Best to keep your foot off the gas when you cruise by an LEO going forward.

I have stories all day for your exhaust ticket thread.

Female cops aren't always tough.

Years ago I had a friend whos cousin was living at his house. Said cousin had issues and decided to take his own life using prescription drugs. The first cop to witness the scene was a female cop, she comes up to my friend sitting on the curb and says "I'm sorry for your loss, I just went in there and noticed some bongs and other pot paraphernalia, you should get a box or something and go get rid of that crap before csi gets here." My jaw hit the floor.
