In a nutshell what does it take to install it?
If the heads are on the car you need to be a bit of a contortionist, but it CAN be done. There isn't a lot of room to work with the engine in the car but there is not a lot to it but I did it with the engine out. Here is a video of it with the engine on a stand so you can see what all is involved.

Yes it does! That is how I gained adequate access to install mine. Pro tip: Have lots of towels ready on the floor because there will be lots of coolant spilled. You can see how much access removing the tranny provides in these pics.
