Considering trading my 2021 Mach 1 for a 2021 very low mileage GT500 Super Snake. Aware it's always a personal decision but other thoughts help a bit.
Secondly, the trade offer is $45,000. Sounds a bit low, but the local Ford dealer and Carvana quoted $41,000. Market is soft.

Thanks for your input / Ron

Is it a GT500 or a Super Snake? The Super Snake is a GT to start with and done by Shelby American. SA did not do a GT500 Super Snake for S550. The GT500 is a Ford/Performance car.

Whether it’s worth the upgrade, that’s totally up to you. Most will say the Super Snake isn’t worth the hefty price tag. If you value the Shelby CSM, it may be worth the price. They’re fast, but personally I think the GT500 is the better all around car. Would I trade out of a Mach 1 for a GT500? Yes and I wouldn’t hesitate at all. Mach 1 for a Super Snake? Probably not unless the price is right (would have to be less than a GT500).

More specifically, it’s a Shelby Super Snake Speedster
Thanks, I just learned some very valuable information.
I was under the impression it was both.

I would probably do the trade unless you can also afford a similar deal with a GT500. I have always loved the look of the super snakes, they look mean. And it’s gotta be fun having that much power. And they are rare, you aren’t going to see many out there.

The only car I would rather pick, if I could, over a Super Snake, would be the GT500. I am going to get one at some point, I need to pay off the 350 first.

You can’t go wrong with either. Both have their benefits. One gets a Shelby number, one gets the GT500 name. Both are sick cars. Definitely would trade up if I was in your situation and it made sense financially.

In my opinion the Mach 1 is a way cooler driver than a GT based Super Snake.
I'm not interested in rarity though.
I would only buy a Super Snake to collect because exclusivity is where all the value is so I would want to keep the miles low.

It's also worth noting that the Super Snake will be seen as just a GT by a bank which could make financing a pain.

As Mike said, be wary of the Super Snake verts. SA removed some of the bracing (reportedly) and that was causing the frame to bend and parts of the body to crack. Not sure if they ever fixed that issue or not

Super Snake, no. It is just a modified GT for a large markup.

GT500, that isn't trading up to me, it is a different vehicle. A ton of power. Too much for my needs, since my Mach 1 is my track car. But if that is what you want, do it.

I was internet surfing GT500s, then I walked out into the Garage, ended that quickly lol. Just something about the Mach 1 that is so cool. Keep the Mach 1 and put a supercharger on it!

GT500 yes, Modified GT no. Gt500 > Mach1 every day.

I would like to have both. Just so I could have an NA Tremec Coyote. To me, the Mach 1 is a more reliable (and easier to fix engine wise) GT350. But generally agree that the GT-based Shelby cars are meh.
