due to a trans overheat during a track day, i decided to install the mishimoto trans cooler.
overall a fairly straightforward install, although it is messy due to trans fluid getting all over. thought i would share a couple of tips. i noticed there are no instructional videos for this and the kit does not come with instructions.
1) the ac condenser line fits in between the trans lines and the radiator. this means you have to position the trans lines first, then drop the cooler in and connect it to the lines in vivo. Otherwise you will not be able to fit the lower ac condenser tab into its slot on the radiator
2)after you are done, take a short run of 1/2 in hose and connect it to the inlet side of the cooler after you have connected just the outlet side to the main trans cooling line. then pump in around a quart of mercon lv to replace what you lost during the install.
3)the inlet connection will no longer be able to accommodate the plastic locking clip that was there before due to a difference in the mishimoto connection. if someone has a solution to this it would be appreciated. not sure how important it actually is though. not sure a plastic zip tie would hold up to the heat
4)based on the graph present on the mishimoto website, i expect around a 5-8 degree lower trans temp. i doubt it would be much more than that.
5)the special tool to disengage the metal locking clip for the trans lines doesnt really work. just take a sharp instrument and pry off the clip. it is just a metal clip. see pic. you can easily pop it back on after you are done.
6)nice looking piece of kit and seems well made. i also installed the pp radiator at the same time. i have a 2015 gt auto.
regards and good luck

Good tech info and I have added your thread to the main 10R80 thread here (it's in it down by the other trans cooling info):
