I have one and really like it. It seems to provide smoother acceleration above 4k.

Sounds better, throttle feels a little perkier, the intake is much "cleaner" vs. the OEM components and speaking of: it also eliminates the sound tube.

If you're not familiar there is a tube from the intake tube to the firewall (and through baffles, resonators) that is supposed to carry sound into the interior.

Eliminating the sound tube actually reduced my exhaust sound at highway cruising speeds!

Not sure, but they might mandate factory intake. Either way, goes to show it's not so bad.

Edit: They have a certain restrictor size mandated for BoP, so depending on what it is, the stock GT intake was probably more than sufficient for flow.

For everyone who has been enjoying our induction hose thus far, thanks for the rave reviews!

To the OP, if you want to feel some reliably repeatable acceleration and power gains with minimal installation work, the Mishimoto Induction Hose is the route you want to take. We are making a full intake kit and it's on presale now, but once the presale ends, the price will go to MSRP, making it the more expensive piece of the two.

Still on the fence? Check out our recently published video outlining the process and the stages of how this product came to life!

What's with all the stuff being disconnected including the MAF? Looks like they took off the real intake and slapped on a temporary one.
Its probably running just map and iat sensor only. :)

Very informative! Not often do you see a manufacturer come forward and explain the nuances of their research and findings.

Looking over my logs, I saw a peak MAF flow of 44.4lb/min.

Pretty good! I am now in the process of testing to see where the next restriction is. I have a feeling it is the inlet to the airbox...but it may just be the air filter itself, or the MAF tube diameter.

So this induction tube is better then the air raid one basically? Has anyone messed around with removing that little box on the air inlet into the air filter box too?

I would say so yes! I think Mishimoto put a lot more time and effort into their's perfecting the design to make the car drive nicer and gain some horsepower.

Your never going to gain a lot of power whilst still maintaining the stock maf tube diameter but I think with an oiled filter and the Mishimoto tube you will maximise the potential of the stock air box and thus won't be that far behind a CAI if at all. The ONLY CAI's which will probably perform better than this setup would be the GT 350 and PMAS ones. :)

I guess it's good performance for what the set up is and for the price, and the gt350 cold air doesn't work with stock throttle body correct I believe I read that.

I have the AEM tube with the factory box and K&N. I got the Mishimoto on pre-sale but it's still sitting on my shelf in the garage. Been too cold to install it. I'm not expecting huge gains but I like the engineering behind it.
