Well not for nothin here... but I put new Denso ITV22 plugs (hand-gapped to .28) in the car after 2-3k miles and then got Tune+ tuned and I've never had a single hiccup driving the car. 9k strong.Im back on 93 and i changed the plug it runs fine now will be switching my plugs for densos and eventually going to get an AP3
Yes you can. You just need to test it and buy from quality sources. My 91 is 0% Ethanol, guaranteed. My E85 tests consistently at E70 in the winter and E85 in the warm months, with one month each fall and spring of increasing/decreasing E content. It's a simple adjustment to bring your fuel up to E30. There is a small buffer zone, but if you pay attention it's easy breezy. Why it's a high risk tune? You can never, with absolute certainty be sure the gas your putting in your car has 0-15% ethanol mixture. If you calculate the E-85 mixture wrong things go bad in a hurry.
I'm willing to bet you were getting lean misfires and some det. Either your tune is way off or your mix is way high in E content.Im back on 93 and i changed the plug it runs fine now will be switching my plugs for densos and eventually going to get an AP3

I thought Denso plugs came pre gapped and you should not gap them by hand because they have the iridium coating.Well not for nothin here... but I put new Denso ITV22 plugs (hand-gapped to .28) in the car after 2-3k miles and then got Tune+ tuned and I've never had a single hiccup driving the car. 9k strong.
