Read the article. the 5 is a replacement for the Pilot Sport 4, not the Pilot Sport 4s.

The 4S was a stiffer and more direct tire than the 4 was. This 5 is probably still targeted towards a softer more comfortable touring ride (which works pretty well for most people). You'll notice the sizes they may for the PS4 are usually taller sidewall applications versus the more sporty sizes we see for the MP4S
