I just noticed something strange with the driver side of my car. There is a piece of metal railing visible underneath when viewing from the side. Not even sure what it would be called (part of the frame?). It's not noticeable on the passenger side, and I haven't seen it on any other S550's. At first I thought maybe the side skirt piece was not adjusted properly, but upon closer inspection it looks like the weld in the area is not right. I'm thinking maybe a "factory defect". It's only visible when getting down and looking underneath the car, or standing a good distance away, but it's kind of starting to trigger me. Has anyone else noticed this?

Looks like your pinch weld? Is this a troll thread? Lol.
If not take some black paint and brush it onto there. That’s what the factory did in the 60s when a buyer complained.

No troll, but maybe I am being a dumbass. That area looks like it should sit relatively flush with the side skirts, not extend below them. Kind of looks sloppy to me. I would assume it was normal if it was the same situation on the passenger side, or if I noticed the same thing on other Mustangs.

Gotta say though the fact that I'm getting laughed at makes me feel a bit less worried about it.

Yep just your pinch weld man. Take some semigloss black paint and brush it on if it keeps bothering you.

I know it's a stupid thing but I can be pretty ocd. Black paint could be a nice workaround.

Right. Easier said then done. Lol
