As we all go down to the shops and think right I am either going for a salad and a burger lets compare the two!!!!
After careful consideration, I choose the burger.

All I can say is that theoretically, you can fit more blocks of emu export in the maloo so it's betterer.

Magnetic 2016 Mustang GT Fastback Manual
"The Australian machine starts at a significant disadvantage with a starting price that is more than $14,000 more expensive than the Mustang. But it is better equipped with 20-inch alloys, leather trimmed sports seats, reversing camera, navigation with live traffic updates, keyless entry and ignition, Bluetooth and a six-speaker stereo system."

Better equipped? Let's see, 20" alloys ok I'll give them that. Leather seats, Mustang has these (heated and cooled). Reversing camera, Mustang has this. Navigation, Mustang has this. Keyless entry and start, Mustang has this. Bluetooth, Mustang has this and 9 speakers. So how is the Maloo so much better equipped?

Considering they are comparing the Mustang to a car that has no back seat at all, it seems pointless to mention the restrictive rear leg/head room as a flaw.

The FG Xr6 turbo was and still is an absolute beast, a tonne of tuning potential in them cars, if only the interior wasn't so bland. I took one for a test drive and got a little sideways when boost kicked in.

Boosted cars always feel faster because of the available torque when the turbo kicks in, prior to that it felt average.

One of the reasons why I didn't like the WRX was the lack of power pre-boost and the clutch point. Then again I seem to be more attracted to instant torque and power.

A car that is turbo'd that has instant torque and power is the new C63, that thing is a wolf in sheeps clothing
I did a deal on a FG XR6T Limited Edition yesterday (bugger all kms on it). Less taxi-like inside than standard XR6T as it has leather seats and a charcoal trim, and bigger wheels. Will pay and pick up tomorrow. Needed a family car to replace our old VP Commodore, which is near-death. Will be a bit disappointed if the Mustang GT doesn't feel as fast! Pretty happy with the way it goes. Wife wanted a Commodore SS, but after driving one confessed that she couldn't see out of it very well (it's pillars are so thick).

Perhaps a GT vs. XR6T drag race is in order, if GT ever arrives ...

To me the XR6T feels faster because the torque you get when the turbo kicks in. The XR6T is also making more power than the Mustang GT stock for stock, but they are different cars. Congrats on the new purchase

Stock XR6Ts were often putting down 260kw at the wheels. Ford decided to underestimate how much power they had so that people still chose to buy the XR8. Have a look at some dynos for stock XR6Ts

I've been away from this forum for a little while (holidays and work and stuff), but I just read those two Ute vs. Mustang reviews. Wow!!!! Who thinks up this sort of crap????

I like it how the reviewer dismisses the back seats of the Mustang as useless - but you surely don't buy a top-end Holden ute to carry gravel about or a cement mixer. You buy a tray-back, unless you like scratches. So many specious arguments about the ute's versatility.

Mustang FT vs. Apache Helicopter may indeed be next: "Whereas the Mustang comes with a naturally aspirated 5.0 lite V8 making a reasonably healthy 306kW, the latest Apache comes with a Rolls-Royce Turbomeca RTM322 turboshaft capable of pumping out a whopping 1,600 kW. The Mustang's failings don't stop there. Although you can put a pair of medium-sized suitcases in the Mustang's boot, Apache pilots have the advantage of four hard points under the stub wings, which can accommodate a variety of munitions, such as Hellfire or Stinger missiles. And while Mustang drivers may find themselves stuck in peak-hour gridlock, Apache pilots have the advantage of not needing to use freeways at all. Where the Mustang does score points is in the style department. Ford offers an array of bright colours, including Race Red and Competition Orange, while the Apache pilot with have to do with olive drab or camouflage, and metallic colours aren't yet available either."
