Seems like a rounded review and refreshing to hear the logical comments regarding the rear seating.
Just what I was thinking!
Also good that they had a comparison of all models available here, and nice to hear that there is no real winner between them, all live up to the Mustang name with no obvious downside between any of them.

The thing that puzzles me is all the media reviews have positive things to say about the Pirelli tyres whilst first hand customer reviews (everywhere, not just the usa) tend to have very negative things to say about the same tyres!

Are they given a script of things to say about the car or what? Its all the same info every time anyway.

He spelled pirelli wrong, so it cant be copy paste
But its ok, he got a 'thumps' up

I keep reading conflicting information regarding the Pirelli's as well.

My brother works as a tyre fitter and reckons that those Pirelli P Zero's aren't much chop and suggested replacing them with Michelin Pilot Sport.

Regarding the tyres, I'd wager that 95% of the reviewers wouldn't drive the cars hard enough to notice any difference between a good tyre and a bald one...

If the conditions are dry and they're not absolutely cracking it around a race track they'd never know, so they'll spout back what Ford told them that the Pirellis are great.

... and you can tell they've been groomed on what to say.
Did you notice every review makes a point of saying that only an enthusiast could tell the difference between the GT and the EcoBoost?

Thoroughly enjoyed Jezza's rant in that article.

I remember when I first bought the 86 and people said the tyres were 'shit' because they were the prius' optional sport spec low rolling resistance tyres.

Everyone was changing tyres straight away and going to grippier ones, which made the car 'faster', but duller.

Meanwhile the car gets more and more fun as those crap stock tyres wear. It's brilliant as an involving daily, just don't expect lap times haha

On track it's a different story, but you should have track tyres anyway.

I had the Pirelli P Zero's on my XR6. I found them to be acceptable. A little noisy and wet weather performance was lacking a bit but they lasted me 43,000 k's

That's crazy long!! Americans were saying 6 to 8000 miles lol

Never had tires last that long (43,000km's) personally, that's for sure.

Ok....so this is one case that I am happy to be proven wrong....I have been told, after inquiring in a couple of places, that there is no Michelin Pilot Sport stock in AU for the rear GT size that the Mustang's take !

Yeah I'm pretty gentle on my tires. Never saw a burnout on them. My mate who manages the tire place I go to was even shocked. He said I definitely won't get that on my current Michelin

Stock size of 275/40R19? MPSS don't come in that size, hence why there's no stock.

Closest one is a thinner 275/35R19.
