Attention to detail my friend. They got a sneak peek of them going on that car. You can clearly see the different shock body. Plus they mention it in the article. It's number 12 with the pictures.

Patiently waiting for their suspension goodies. Not spending a dime on suspension until they develop more. I love their shit with my old Fox-body, can't wait to see what they do for the s550!

Attention to detail... that appears to simply be a different strut, not a true coil over.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you have something relevant to add to the discussion? Nope, looks like you didn't.

It explains that it's a prototype "Maximum Motorsports prototype coilover body that utilizes stock style springs". Meaning, it'll likely accept other springs as well.

Maybe try thinking outside the box a bit before being just another keyboard know-it-all. I was simply calling it what it was being labeled as in the article.

The strut body doesn't look like it's threaded either. Looks like regular old struts with springs to me...

Again with me calling it like it was called in the article.

Also, it's called speculation. What's to say that these aren't going to use different springs and/or a threaded body?

I'm deployed, every day is a rough day at the office.

I'm not sure why we're getting wrapped around the axle on verbiage here. Maximum Motorsports coming to market with suspension pieces is ONLY a good thing for us. This looks like it would be a pretty wallet-friendly alternative to cheap "real" coilovers.

Because there's a big difference between replacement struts and coilovers. Words mean things...

Take that up with the magazine then, all I did was repost. They didn't say a prototype strut for the S550's MacPherson strut front suspension did they? Just because your interpretation of coilover is different than theirs doesn't mean that it is not technically correct. A coil installed OVER a strut is a coilover.

I do tend to agree with you though, but I posted this because I was excited that Maximum is making more parts for our cars. Not to get in a pissing match about the correct use of the word coilover.

Thank you for your service!!!
