If you are looking to create a supplementary fueling solution going to a methanol injection system is a great one! It will give you all of the benefits of more powerful fuels without the availability or volume constraints!

That type of blower will be out of gas before you get to the 700 mark unfortunately. Are you still running the canned Roush tune?
Type as in the TVS? Or the Roush version of the TVS?

My 2015 GT Auto with VMP TVS (on MT Drag Radials):

That was not pushing it very hard, with boost being in the 14-15psi range.

With the new motor, it's currently only on 12 psi and making about 700rwhp - but of course, I am about to turn the wick up

I agree, but he is running a TVS, unless he is injecting post compression, which requires drilling to the lower manifold, he won't really see the octane benefits of meth, just some added cooling.

Just curious how you loose octane? Im guessing compressing it and the added heat?

Roush TVS will hit 700+ easy. I have seen it in person several times. The 15 kits have the revised inlet similar to the VMP kit so its even more efficient than before.

We keep it at around 670-680whp with pump gas.. We've seen instances where there was zero knock at 700-710whp, then at times we would get a tad bit of knock just between different gas station fillups.

In the end, it's not worth the risk to the customer to tune these things on the ragged edge, just for another 30whp.

Methanol is super corrosive.. Last thing I would want to do is spray it through a supercharger with exposed bearings in a uncoated aluminum case. Injecting it post blower would be better for the supercharger and intercooler in terms of corrosion.

On 93...?

That would be a good dyno session to see. We are ten minutes from them, we have yet to see one make that kind of power safely or on 93. That would be sweet!

Here you go. Ill save you the 10 minute drive. Its sweet!

That is the moral of the story...the 2.9's are capable of making more than that without toeing the line. It is NEVER worth getting to the safe edge!

Sorry Livernois, I thought you simply meant capable. I completely see your point about the safety margin, 93 octane, etc. ;)

That's pretty awesome!!
Is this on a stock 2015 engine with just the VMP and added essentials and 93 octane? Who did your tune? I assume Justin?
