I've heard the same. But if you're keeping the same color as the factory paint I like the idea of a simple Xpel Stealth install.

Avery also does a semi-gloss and matte clear. It isnt as thick as xpel, but that being siad, it is FAR less expensive in both materials and install cost. I guess what I'm saying is, it is at least worth contemplating.

I still may go that route sometime down the line. for now i have the xpel ultimate forward of the doors and the semi-gloss avery black on the roof.

not really prepared to have it all peeled off to start over just yet. :)

You don’t want to know
Isn't the Avery product more of a color-changing film, as opposed to 3M, Xpel, SunTek and the others that are paint protection films?

yes. it is thinner than your PPF companies. Although if i chose to wrap my car, i highly doubt that i'd also put PPF on top of it.

Canepa's '15 car isn't matte but yes, just get XPEL satin and go to town plus it'll actually protect the car. A matte white car would be much easier to maintain than a dark color.

Funny you say that. I've contemplated putting PPF coverage on the front and rear quarters, then satin wrap over that. They both stick pretty well but the PPF sticks better than wrap from what I've seen - should be able to work with the wrap while installing and not damage PPF. Don't know for sure - going to inquire with the local pro here.
