Satin paint code

Anyone know what the satin metal trim on our 350’s is called? Does it come in a spray can?

mid confused, it’s the color on the steering wheel, the tail pipes, the bezels around the shifter, etc...

I’m thinking it’s not a paint but a type of plating like chrome over plastic.
Electroplating maybe.

Just a guess on my part.
Ever seen chrome looking rattle can paint?
I know “Black Chrome” is not chrome at all, it’s a process that only can be done property if you have the equipment to do it. Not sure of the process but I’ll bet it’s similar. Just way to smooth smooth of a finish to be traditional paint.

Understood. I’m just saying interesting because the part that I have and want tinted to the same color and finish is aluminum. Electroplating would be a better option.

The bezel around my shifter started to wrinkle. Very odd. Looks like it's been sitting in the heat, but it actually wrinkled over the California winter.
