PPF over matte stripes? Stek reviews? Gt350R

I have XPEL on my car and I am happy with it, but I do not have stripes and have no experience with matte XPEL. I had Suntek on a previous car and it was much thicker than the XPEL and discolored during my two years in Texas pretty badly. Ask your installer if Stek is the same as Suntek.

The discoloring(yellowish) was in the past for both Xpel and Suntek. This is not the case with current versions for both brands.

This is what 3M pro looks like over the normal stripes. It was one piece I put on, I didn’t bother with a kit that had stripe cutouts. Also my hood doesn’t have anything on it yet. I could maybe work the film a tad bit more on the stripe edge but it is very close.

My only issue with xpel is the orange peel it induces. I can and do live with it because of the protection it provides.

I had one piece done over my stripe and hood and it is very obvious. I wish I had my installer do separate pieces. My new car does not have stripes so much more seem less
