Sounds like we're in a similar boat. I really dislike the shifter in these cars and the clunky gears of the trans. I'm getting random synchro feedback going into third gear or too much resistance. I guess my next mod will be a shifter and fluid change.

Thank you, thank you. You're too kind! :D

Seriously though, I have a really analytical personality (probably why I got into programming). I research the heck out of something before making a commitment, so when I was looking for a new shifter, I really did my homework. If my legwork can save someone time with searching, comparing features, and reading through specs, then I'm happy to share that info. I think I'll save that reply somewhere and just re-post it anytime in the future I see somebody ask about what shifter to buy.
New owner, first day shifting was smooth as glass. Day 3 and there is notchyness in 1-3 no matter what rpms/finesse/ambient temp. I Have 489 miles ( dealer trade miles but got a bangin deal) and because of your two posts and thorough research I am buying the Steeda tri ax. Thanks!

Congrats on the new car and welcome to M6G! :clap2:

Glad to help! It's been just over a week now since I put in the Tri-Ax and my love for it grows each time I drive the car. I took a buddy out for a spin Saturday night and did some fast shifting from 1st to 3rd going 0-70mph and it was flawless. No more hang-ups in that 2nd-to-3rd transition like I used to get with the stock shifter. You just press up on the stick, and it goes right into 3rd, smooth as can be.

Since you decided on the Tri-Ax, don't forget to PM @David@Steeda for the M6G promo code. It'll save you a bundle when you buy the shifter from their website.

I second the Steeda Tri-Ax. It's my favorite mod to date. Paired with the 35lb clutch spring and a GT350 wheel, I never want to leave my cockpit!
