Does anyone know if the car has a neutral trigger wire when a manual transmission.

I would assume that maybe on the convert you'd need to be in neutral to put the top down, or something like that?

The reason I ask is for a remote start install, I want to install mine so that the car must be in neutral to start instead of having to go through the typical manual process of pressing the valet button and the clutch before shutting the car off to enable.

Up through 2014 there was no such thing on a Mustang and I'm 99.9% sure there is not on 2015 as well.

Good luck with making remote start on a M/T fail safe.

Its easy to install on a manual, but the extra procedure of having to put the car in valet mode is annoying so if there is a neutral trigger that'll solve the problem and make it work like the auto unit but only if the car is not in gear. :clap2:

Still no security bypass modules on the market for the car yet, probably a couple more months till they are out.

years ago, I made a neutral wire on a chevy z24 manual with home alarm system magnetic switches. Found a spot on the shift linkage that was neutral and rigged the magnetic switches to show closed when in that state. It was 100% reliable.

Plan B is to put a lower amp fuse on the starter wire. So that IF the car tries to start when in gear, the starter would draw more amperage than normal, and you could hope to blow the fuse before it starts.

That being said, I was for ever testing it because I was always paranoid it would fail and i would try and start the car in gear.

My advice is to just move on. Not worth the risk.
