When shifting into reverse I push down and over. I don’t have to pull up on the lockout collar. Does this mean I have an aftermarket shifter?

Yes it does. I know one of the MGW shifters have that push down feature. Not sure which other ones have it though.

Nice! Anyone else feel that 6th gear feels really unnatural to engage?

Yes, but on the other hand I find the 6th gear utterly useless anyway, so I don't mind. :)
He has a different MT82 than you.

Better gearing in 1st-5th, IMO.

2018+ MT82s have taller 6th gears, really great for highway cruising.
