Yes buy my dealer told skip the trans fluid next time, it was fine. Basically I changed everything after the first event. It was all factory fill. I'll probably do 1-2 more before I change the oil. Its not that hot where I am. My oil temp never goes above half way.

Factory weight oil (0-20) will spin your bearings...

Well maybe not yours because 1.15gs (stock car) is uh...mild to say the least :)

That's really not relevant. 0W-20 would not be advised for regular track use because the hot viscosity (20) is a little lacking when it comes to film thickness under high engine load. The stock sump location will handle high g-loading just fine.

Didn't understand the post so not feeding it. Factory oil is working fine in mine so I don't worry about it. Factory PZEROS and factory alignment only provides so much grip :)

I'd recommend 5W-30 synthetic when you do your next oil change, if you are tracking it every once in a while.

You are correct, I was combining g-load with oil viscosity in my head. 15 hour work shift making me retarded.

I'm worried after reading this!!! I haven't changed my tranny or rear end after 4 events!!! Something I need to put on the list.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. I only did it (at Ford) for the documentation that it was done. They told me the trans fluid was fine (one event at the time) Depending on the temps it sees is the bigger factor. Axle might be a good thing to have done.
FYI: When Ford plugs into your car all the data is downloaded. My instructors street car (Shelby) still goes to the Ford dealer and they told him they have never seen a car with such high speed/g force logs before ;) Moral of the story, don't play dumb, don't lie, everything is recorded.

Good to hear, I have replaced the half shafts already, burnt up the first ones. Need to save up for the Ford Racing, but they are spendy, I'd rather buy stock ones 10 times then $1800 for theirs right now. I may go thru and change all the fluids after the next event, being summer the heat the car is seeing is pretty harsh. I did change the tranny over to royal purple when I bought the car, and have been running XPR in the motor with Ford Racing oil filters. So the only thing to really check would be the rear end. I turn all nannies off always event if I'm driving around town to save the stress put on the rear end. Need to start thinking about and oil cooler, or do we have one stock?

The more G's you sustain generally the faster you are going, less g loading across the lap normally means a slower lap. The faster you are going the more you will stress the engine in terms of temps. High oil temps will thin 0-20 out to the point where it will spin your bearings.

I've seen 1.27gs both sides on stock rubber/alignment. If those figures are getting achieved consistently lap after lap it would probably yield higher engine temps. Does that make sense and do you agree?

edit, 1.2 under braking is possible too...harder braking = more time on the throttle...higher temps...

My point is maybe 0-20 will be fine for you, but it can cause issues for others and it's not recommended for track use.
