I like the contract other colours have but I'll sacrifice that any day for how good magnetic is for the rest.

Meet Frankie (Sinatra)...

He's sitting at the lot, just got delivered this morning. They're going to do PDI tomorrow (ugh) and I'll go in Wed to take him home. Almost done.

why do you have to wait that long to get it?
If we have an ordered vehicle in, we will have it ready within couple hours ( service prep, fuel, detail)

Because my dealer has someone interested in seeing a fully optioned out S550, and he's wanting to let him come look before letting it go. He sold me his Stock allocation, so I'm playing nice. Besides, it's raining non-stop and I have a ton of work, so I won't get to enjoy it within the next couple days. anyhow.

I am taking a couple days off this weekend to enjoy it all to myself though, looking forward to it.

Mine was delivered last Wednesday and wasn't available for pickup until Friday. I don't know the process.

All that needs to be done after delivery is a road test by technician to make sure eevrything is as should be, check all the fluids, check under the hood, take vehicle out of transport mode , then get it fueled up and hand the keys to the detail guy. For a customer anxious to drive their new vehicle, all that can happen during couple hours.
Of course a situation like above, when dealer has to show it to someone else that adds more time.

Excited for you dude. Definitely my favorite car name so far.

I've told my dealer, I don't want an exterior detail. Nada, Zip, Zilch! He's going to leave on all the plastic even. I've got a couple clay bars ready to go, but TBH it's pretty clean. So they don't really need to do too much to it before I sign. He did say he'd put Premium in it for me. He even offered to let me do the PDI, but I'm not that obsessed. I trust they'll do a good job with it.

My original retail order just got a VIN with a production week of 12/1. My guess is, he's going to try selling it to the person slated to come look. It was a little bit different than the one I'm getting originally, since I added a couple things, but he updated it to have those things as well. So, it's really a clone now.

Thanks, I'll go into some detail on the name once I get a 'I got my car' thread going. It has a special meaning of course.

I see that as something positive actually, cause in a color like this, because of the classy look it has. Anything contrasting would actually make this color look worse IMO.
Yah it's definitely a personal preference.

After seeing White, Ingot, Race Red, Orange, Yellow and Ruby in person, the black pieces just really pop out with those colors in contrast...and not as much on Magnetic, Guard, Blue or Black obviously.

Congrats! Sorry, it's getting rained on though! Don't let them drill holes in the front bumper for the plate.

He's repeated back to me numerous times not to put on the bracket, so I'm going to be quite peeved if it gets drilled. In fact, I told him not to touch anything on the outside, I'm going to detail it myself. Including the plastic protective wrap.

None of the interior yet, it was all wrapped up in plastic still since it just barely got checked in. Plus it was raining. I did get one interior pic, of the odometer. 5.3mi. I bet a buddy it would have less than 7, and he insisted it would be closer to 20.

He buys beer next time we go out!
