So when calculating size difference in the MAF housing, you'll want to calculate the cross section, correct ?
EG:
For MAF housing with a diameter of 88.48 mm, the radius is half of the diameter, which is 44.24 mm. Using the formula:
A1 = 3.14159 * (44.24 / 2)² ≈ 1527.46 mm²
For the MAF housing with a diameter of 97.88 mm, the radius is half of the diameter, which is 48.94 mm. Using the formula:
A2 = 3.14159 * (48.94 / 2)² ≈ 1884.49 mm²
To find the percentage difference, we can use the formula:
Percentage Difference = ((A2 - A1) / A1) * 100%
Substituting the calculated areas:
Percentage Difference ≈ ((1884.49 - 1527.46) / 1527.46) * 100% ≈ 23.48%
So, in terms of cross-sectional area, the tube with a diameter of 97.88 mm has a 23.48% larger area than the tube with a diameter of 88.48 mm.
So is this correct ? Am I missing anything ?
