When I purchase mine for the bullet, it included up the $5,000 in driveline damage. But they offer a warranty with their product as far as it being built properly and etc. But then for a while I read that Whipple stop giving drive line warranties.Sounds awesome, and someone correct me if I am wrong...but the whipple warranty only covers THEIR product not YOUR engine![]()
Whipple now offers a 36mo/36k powertrain warranty:
"While Whipple broke many rules and records with its record setting S550 supercharger system, holding the title of the most powerful, most advanced supercharger system available, we weren't satisified and decided to build an all new supercharger from the ground up. The patent pending 50-State legal stage 1 supercharger system makes *750 flywheel HP and *615 foot pounds of torque and is offered with an optional 3 year, 36,000 mile power-train warranty."
I had a conversation with whipple about these this week. They no longer offer the warranty option. The company they had doing it, no longer offers it. They are now working on a new company to cover it.My Whipple had an optional warranty that I refered to before. I believe it was $5,000 on the powertrain and it cost $500 additional which I did not purchase.
That is a bad signI had a conversation with whipple about these this week. They no longer offer the warranty option. The company they had doing it, no longer offers it. They are now working on a new company to cover it.
They need to get it off their website then. Art is leaving the door open to litigation. Especially being based in CA.I had a conversation with whipple about these this week. They no longer offer the warranty option. The company they had doing it, no longer offers it. They are now working on a new company to cover it.
If it's a third party warranty, you'd likely be banging your head against the wall anyway trying to get coverage. They're notorious for ignoring you and finding any reason to deny a claim ... could be why Whipple dropped the first company??So no warranty with a whipple? I'll wait it out.
I agree. I'm in no hurry. So no warranty with a whipple? I'll wait it out.
Extremely interested Zach. I've already had conversations with Lebanon Ford in Ohio about this. I will be getting a Mach 1 thru you, and if you handle the Whipple also - it would save me a lot of hassle. Not sure if it allows the strut brace, but who cares. Lebanon also offers the Roush supercharger, which allows a 3 year warranty. I would place my order with it, so it's installed when I pick it up, especially if there's a warranty.Any Interest in this? I think it would be 90% of a GT500 and with our pricing less than 90% of the cost.
I've been tossing around the idea of becoming a whipple supercharger dealer and from my conversations with Roush, they are not entertaining a kit specific to the Mach 1. This would leave Whipple as the most viable option and my mind keeps spinning on the possibilities with this kit.
