I've been going back and forth with myself on getting PPF or a Vinyl Wrap. Not sure if anyone else has questions about this or might be considering a wrap. I'm purchasing through Jay@Granger Ford, and guess what - Jay has tons of experience doing wraps. Granger is serious about customer care and will do everything they can at a reasonable price to make you happy. I'm having it cut around the Mach 1 stripes, but he can remove stripes and wrap in whatever color you want as well. If you're ordering from Granger, contact Jay if you're interested in a wrap. If you have questions, he can answer them.

I will only jump in here just to give my opinion. Please take it as it is. Wraps are the ugliest things out there. I want my car to shine in the sun like water. Not look dull and drab. If I get a chip I deal with it. I have never done PPF and never will. I get that some might want to PPF a GT500. I drive my cars hard and then I get another.

Doing a Gloss Flip - Ghost White Pearl on an Oxford White car. Similar look as factory, but with a little rainbow touch to it. Don't really need much protection, mainly looking for something a little different in color. Would order Star White if factory offered it.

In my mind i just pictured the preproduction Mach 1 from the very first pictures. I always thought it was weird they were calling it FJG when the pictures looked so much like a pearl white.

Good transparent PPF doesn't change that gorgeous look. But for colourful vinyl wraps I agree.

Some people want a glass like finish, others satin, and some matte or flat. Everyone has preferences. The same goes for how you use your vehicle. Some drive them hard, even track them. Some are daily drivers, and some are trailer queens. I respect everyone's decisions and preferences. This will be my first wrap, and I have not used PPF in the past. Hell my last vehicle of 8 years got washed twice the entire time I owned it. The second wash was to sell it, lol. I enjoy reading everyone's comments, even the snarky and sarcastic ones. To each their own. Variety is the spice of life. If I don't like this wrap, damage it, or get tired of the color, I can always peel it off.

I had PPF on my 18 GT (doors forward) ceramic coated over the PPF. The PPF was invisible. I have PPF on the nose of my Mach, can't see it from 6 in away. I like the look as opposed to stone chips.

same here. i don't see the downside to PPF other than cost. why not keep the car as nice as possible if you can!

candy apple red. look it up.
C.A.R. has definitely changed since I was younger, looks to be a lot more metallic now, and a few shades darker.
