When did you place your order? We ordered the exact same configuration/color Aug 30, no build date as of yet. Not sure if ours got cancelled or not yet.
It was July 08, 2021

(may as well include the year lol)

Didn’t I read on this thread an early article that Ford does not produce HP cars during the Winter? It has to do with the sticky tires causing havoc at the factory. I don’t think it has to do with the parts. Maybe your dealer just did not input the order fast enough before the Winter season
This may be a really dumb question, but why would Ford keep producing its “performance” car in the factory that can’t work with performance tires for a chunk of each year? They have assembly plants in other parts of the country. Seems kinda like trying to run a waterpark in Anchorage

it would require an entirely new line, and no, all their plants are in the north U.S. that see stupidly low temps for half the year.

@Jay at Granger any idea on total number of Mach 1's produced so far this year, or at least how many in your region, and what areas of the country are included in your region? We are talking in another thread about how chassis numbers are already approaching 5000, and it just doesn't seem possible to me that Ford has already cranked out 5000 Mach 1's this year.

My VIN ends in 5258 and is scheduled for production the week of 11/15. Maybe one could infer some quantity from that information.

The VIN and the number on the dash plaque are not related.

If my system is correct, we have 99 Mach 1 ordered in our region. So I’m finding it really had to believe their is 5000+ Mach 1 built. Who knows though! Maybe it is right but it’s hard to believe.

Not to mention you guys have a disproportionately high number of Mach 1’s at granger. Most regions probably don’t have a location moving as many units as granger. I would also be surprised if they have built over 5000 unless they were given priority over regular gt’s

They dont get a different VIN sequence from other Mustangs
Ok. I need to add the preceding '5' in the VIN to get number 55258 for the 55258th or so Mustang built/scheduled for this year. That would be consistent with the recent report of 46730 Mustangs produced in 2021 as of the end of September.

Note: The chassis number for my first Mach 1 was M1649 for reference.

Well if only 10% of the total built were Mach 1's, we'd have our 5000-ish chassis numbers. Guess that isn't totally unreasonable.
