Hey guys.

I have never posted this forum before ..it seemed like a good place to post this. I have a user build thread though.

Anyway I have been working on this 2018 Mach 1 Tribute a few months now.

In reality it sometimes seems like a crazy bastard child of a Steeda Q500 and GTCalifornia Special using Steeda, Cervini and Ford Performance parts sitting on foundary wheels.

Still more work to do but....be that as it may here she is at various stages over last few months.

For those of you using cell phones for viewing and can't see sigs, here is the mods list so you can see what is going on here:
18 Royal Crimson GT 301A. Muffler Delete. Ford Performance Street Handling Pack. Ford performance strut tower and cowl/k brace. Wheels: AM S550 series Black Magnetic 20x10 Rear with 305 Tires, Front 20x8.5 with 255 Tires. Custom Matte Black hood, rear spoiler, and side stripes. Matte 5.0 Badging. MMD Rear Deck lid in Matte black. MMD Rear Window Louvers. 1970 Mach 1 Rear Deck Lid re-production badging. Custom Made Twister Special rear quarter decals. Drake 5.0 Matte fuel door, Cervini upper and lower front Grills with Mach 1 Pony Insert. Cervini Eleanor Quarter Window Scoops. Steeda IRS Subframe brace, Steeda IRS alignment bushings and k member G trac. On order: Steeda Billet Aluminium Vertical Links w poly bushings. Steeda Bumpsteer Kit, Steeda Toe Link Kit with knuckle bearing Assembly and Performance Pack wing spoiler.
Mods Planned: Larger Chin Spoiler and what ever Intake and Tune Steeda is using on that Steve McQueen Bullet Edition. :)

Personal tastes would be black hood vents, and different rear louvers, otherwise short of having a shaker I really dig it.
Yea i am going to keep an eye out for a hood that has a bit of a shaker look for the 2018s. It doesn't seem worth it paying almost $1,000 or more for a ram air hood when that really isn't the right look either and i would be going from a 71 Mach1 looking hood to a ram air hood that gives me the scoop but really doesn't fit ANY historical Mach 1 exactly. I struggled with the louvers...went ABS over aluminium as i was thinking they would have less vibration and be easier to maintain long term. That and the molded ABS is a perfect match for my rear deck lid and the side splitter &rear diffuser etc. We will see though.

Also, i wish i could figure out how to get those Steve McQueen 20 inch retro wheels they are coming out with.

IMHO, the wheels do not reflect any Mach1s I've ever seen...but otherwise, good on you. Not all of them had a shaker hood either, although it was a desirable setup. Not sure a shaker can be pulled off with a new stang.

Agreed. I just went with the nearest wheels I could find that were a combo of black and chrome. I honest cannot find retro style wheels in the 20 inch size. If I wanted to go with 17s and wide sidewalls I could have found some . This forced me into a choice between track focused handling or authenticity.

Be that as it may...if anyone has any links to more retro styles wheels in 20 or even 19...ill mark them and possibly switch up later down the road.

That's a really good effort, Allentown, I really like that!

Seeing as S550 appears to be sticking around until the '22MY and with the Bullitt being a '19 & '20MY, I'm still holding out hope we get a new Mach 1 for the '21 & '22MY. I originally wanted to see it with a 5.2CPC V8, but they could just use the Bullitt's mechanical upgrades and sprinkle it with Mach 1 appearance goodies. Please Ford.......please!

Well i am doing that just fine on my own. I just decided to throw pretty much the entire steeda suspension catalogue along with a Wilwood big brake kit on this thing....

My wife said "we are doing what ever you want for your b day tomorrow" to which i responded... "we are driving to lebanon Ford to have a super charger installed", then i sent a request for a quote on a whipple to my contact at Steeda...

Of course i don't have the cash to do that right now..but I am curious about the quote.

Sorry I'm months late with this, but I figured you might like this.

I just installed a set of CS70s on my car. I got them during a Black Friday sale, back when I was leaning more towards a 67 Shelby tribute. In retrospect, a set of CS69s would have been better for my current direction, but I like the 70s as well.

I'm still hoping for the 5.2 or better yet.....the 7.3 with a DCT. Alloy block of course.

The silver Mustang stripe down the middle of the door makes it a fail. If you like it don't worry about what others say but it definitely says Newbie Mustang owner Not mach1

American Muscle has Bullitt style wheels at a decent price, in 19" and 20". And a recent report says that CDC is now offering a shaker hood scoop for S550s.

Interesting. Got a link to the CDC shaker by any chance? I wasn't able to find anything using Google or on CDC's website.

I'd be very interested to see what an S550 shaker kit would look like.
