Roush gets a lot of flack and rightly so but the power is there. It will gap a hellcat as it should with the weight advantage and equal power for 1/2 the cost. At least that's what I experience as does owners on this forum who own both Roush (stock cal) and Hellcats. to be honest it's not really close. On the strip is another story. The heat problem is real and the 123mph bug is unacceptable.

It seems that the latest Roush cal has fixed the 6-7 shift issue. The heat thing may be an issue at drag strips in hot climates but I have found it a non issue on the street or strip.

Cornyote, is your 10r80 stock? Do you think it's holding up to your power level and do you know if Lund is tuning/keeping torque management to save the trans ?

If you bought a GT500 just to do the 1/4 mile with, you're doing it wrong......

My 10R80 is a stage 2 Midnight Performance built trans. Lund has torque management off.

Definitely not a car intended to go straight with. I think the 1/4 mile is just a good easy performance comparison for them to do. A better comparison would’ve been several tests including a road course, etc.

Thanks for the info. I've planned to stay NA but so tempted to eventually go Whipple 3.8! Good plan on taking care of the trans.
