Plus, Gerhardt's tire selection had the grip of a greased watermelon,
...
Gerhardt's Mustang—particularly on those Nitto tires—is a reminder about the perils of parts-catalog engineering.
Ouch, that hurt! National-stage burnt and crispy.
At least he got a revised tune(s) out of the deal. Sure didn't do BFP's PR any good.

Not sure if that guy is a member here, they made it seem like CORNYOTE's car was done right.

The software glitch is the 123mph glitch which means your trap, unless you shift manually in an A10, is going to be 123 or in their case a mistaken 124mph. Unless of course you have a manual car then it isn't an issue. Well known roush and Ford Perfromance SC issue I have had for over a year. Good news is latest cal has you trapping in the mid to high 130's. As long as you don't overheat. Which you will unless you run it in cool temps.

Not a good showing for the Nitto G2s...something I already knew. They switched out to the Conti SportContact and it made a big improvement matching the Mich PS4s within .1g which basically can be different temps of the test surface.

Ouch. Not a good showing for BFP or Roush.

I've railed against those cars since I learned about them.

But, to each their own. Not my money, not my circus.

SC cars on street tires and an unprepped surface are traction limited. C&D tests of Hellcats and ZL1s do not show great times, either. The following is from their test of a Challenger Hellcat:

Paired with the optional eight-speed automatic transmission, the last Challenger SRT Redeye Widebody we tested roared to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and completed the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds at 125 mph.

good lord. But yeah they did the same thing with the GT500. Then some kid in Florida with peach fuzz on his face runs a 10.5 or something with his new GT500.

Edit: And contis are useless for real traction on a SC car. I took mine off pretty much immediately.

C&D drag tests are only comparable to other C&D drag tests.
Because: "We shipped the car back to BFP, who, after questioning our ability to test cars..."

C&D ability to test cars are questionable :D

Not really. I seen hellcats at our track in street trim that couldn't even get outta the 12's. The track here isn't the best prepped so you really gotta be on your game to cut a decent 60.
I did 13.5 with my GT on an old Airfield. So yeah I understand how times could be tricky. And also I was trying to make a joke.
