Don't get me wrong, I think they are awesome cars. Just not my cup of tea...especially when you want to put your kids in the back. As far as the gaps on the Mustang, well the Vipers I have seen were pretty bad especially when you consider the price difference between the cars. I was more inline with the M3/4 vs. Viper.

Just for context - since the discussion was about the M4 GTS - it doesn't have back seats either

FYI, the fit and finish on the current gen Viper is pretty outstanding, if you're basing it on older generations, you should really take a good look at a new one. The paint is also stellar, about 120 hours involved in the process, hand painted and finished.

I try not to get too hung up on, "It's domestic, so I'm writing it off", I like to consider each _model_, and how it fits into my likes, needs and wants. Just my $0.02 after owning BMW, Vettes (including a Z06), an S2000 and a highly modified 4th Gen Supra (Lexus, Toyota, etc.) ... and per my profile, now a '16 GT/PP convertible.

This is crazy! There is a 2016 ACR Viper for $117,000 which can do 7.01.67 on Nurburgring, and you still pay for cars like this, even a GT3 has nothing on that car! Looks, sound, performance, and price should go to ACR Viper! Go America!

Good point. I love the Viper, and would get one over the GT3. My co-worker just received an ACR and it is a fabulous car. Extremely well engineered for track duty.

BMW only makes a few of them & sells them to save face when their M4 gets spanked by the GT350R & others.. so all the M4 owner can feel good about themselves and point to the halo GTS.

It is coming to NA my friend got offered one for $175,000 includes ADM.

Isn't that what Mustang GT owners are doing when the gen 6 SS spanks them? They point to the R... DISCLAIMER: This is all in good fun.

The M4 is far more than a track car. It is a luxury sports car with excellent quality and liveability. It isn't meant to be what the GT350 is.

A very nice comparison! Apparently the ACR Viper is even faster than a Mclaren P1 but a little slower than a Porsche 918! I am trully impressed with that car!

A plain SRT Viper will beat the snot out of any m3/4 variant. Hell even the Gen IV Vipers will beat the snot out of those bimmers. :lol:

Wow an only $135k car beat the GT350 by a whopping 1-3 seconds (depending which best time you take for the R).

You could only buy 2 GT350s for that cost That says more for a Mustang that it can come that close to $120-150k cars at half the price.
