Well the high of the car running great was short lived. Did a few hard pulls tonight and the surging is back. Mfer.

I feel your pain. I'm so fed up with it, I've actually started thinking about trading up to a 2016 and get an automatic tranny. And put the FRPP handling package and my wheels on the new car. Make a kick.ass automatic handling car, that will run hight 10's, and carve corners, and be a pokey daily driver also with NO bucking.

At least I think the automatic tunes have NO surging now. Do any auto cars have buck surge issues?

My car is an auto with a procharger kit. The planets really have to align inorder to get my car to surge. Kind of have to force it to surge. Usually you have to get the car at a certain speed, rpm, and gear... which never happens when I'm out driving the car.

I no longer have the IMRC setup anymore, not sure if that is the reason my car doesn't have a surging issue. Lund tuned my car.

And this is exactly how mine is as well.

Mine is also a auto , I have had the surge one time ..I tried to get it to do it again but can't find that spot again.. Mine happened when the car was not fully warmed up .. Not sure that has anything to do with it .. So far I can't duplicate it hot or cold .. At this point the car runs so good I can't see spending anymore time looking for a ghost...

That's why I'm thinking about going the auto route. Seems much less prone to surging. Looking for a 2016 today.

When my tuner first got my car on the dyno for the first runs he said it was surging ..I had warned him this was a problem others have had ..I told him about the IMRC and his logs showed it was not the IMRC ..He said it was in the TQ tables causing the throttle angle to move around ..He made some changes and it stop the surge ..This is all over my head so I'm just giving you the basics of what he told me ..Like I said in my other post I have had it happen once and I can't get it to repeat ..It was a very soft surge with no bucking..

That is what my local tuning expert said as well. Process has been saying that also. So the original Procharger canned tune had the surge/buck issue right out of the box, EVEN on the auto car. So it looks like the best way to get the surge out is to have it custom tuned (compared to remote tuned). Even on the automatic.

I've had Procharger, Lund, and a custom tune and it still surges. My car even had a surge when I just had a Bama tune and cai. The only time it has ran right was when it was stock, lmao.

I just picked up a '16 automatic GT with a D1SC, ID 1050, GT350 intake and several other goodies. I don't know all the details. But, it makes 730 rwhp and 538 rwtq on 93 octane with 13.5 psi.

I know it's a Lund tune and it's got the little round Lund gauge in it. It's got the 3.55 limited slip option. And it bucks and surges like crazy sometimes.

When I test drove it I didn't notice it. I've only had it a day. It's obviously very fast. But, the surging and bucking totally sucks. It happens badly on a part throttle downshift. If I'm on the highway and give it just enough throttle to downshift it bucks and surges like crazy. I also had it happen once just driving chilled without a downshift. I thought I would get used to it and maybe able to drive through it but am not sure I will.

Is it the converter? Is it the tune? Can I get it re-tuned by Lund to fix it? I 'm new to the S550 so I'm not sure. I'm learning a lot at this forum. I know that automatics with ProChargers can definitely buck and surge just like the standards.

This is an old ass thread lol. But my car doesn't buck or surge, it's procharged auto tuned by Lund. I'd say talk to Lund about it, tell them it's a car you just bought and see how you can go about correcting it. Likely retune it, preferably on a dyno.

Yes it can be retuned. You'll pay a fee to have your logs looked and tune adjusted. That fee covers you for three months of adjustments on your current set up.
