tuner showed up...........now to search for an old ass mini-usb cable so I can update it. 450 bucks it should have been included. I guess they expect you to keep it plugged into the car and run the SD card back and forth. Im being overly picky I'm sure. I just like it to be setup before I plug it into my car thats all. Im sure I can find a cable somewhere.

most new computers have card readers, but I can see where it would be nice.

Tell you what I'm going to do, I just ordered a bulk of usb cables that I'm going to send to all of our customers that ordered a gauge from us, and future orders going out!

we want our customers to be happy!

This is very true.

:eyebulge: You are the man! I apologize if you felt my comments were toward you. It was more so toward the company that makes the ngauge. I mean those cables have to be pennies at this point haha.

I do appreciate the level of customer service........dont really find that too often anymore.

Ok first attempt failed and this may help others that need to update first. Once you unzip the firmware folder you actually have to go into that folder and copy and past the contents onto the SD card. I just unzipped the folder and drug it right over to the SD card and not much happened haha. Stupid mistake but got it sorted out. Now to the fun part!

easiest way when you unzip, is to actually unzip directly to the sd and it's all done in one shot.

folder structure will all be right there, saves 1 step :)

Make sure you have your battery hooked up to a re-charging kit. I heard the tuning process can drain your battery and that would be a huge no-no while tuning.

the ngauge flashes very quick, unlike the sct that takes about 10 minutes or better

shouldn't have any issues, unless you've been in a situation where your battery is already low or haven't driven for some time

I did a remoter dyno tune with Lund yesterday. My nerves are just finally returning to normal. We did 4 revisions to the tune they all showed improvement and it was very nice that is loaded so fast. Dyno time costs money you don't want to sit waiting for the tune to load. Of course some people need to wait to let their car cool down we didn't tunes like that aren't realistic or particularity safe. Still it is nerve racking ringing the car to 7250rpm on a set of rollers with only a couple straps holding it in place.

What's this about fast flashing? I guess if you consider 7 minutes fast (I timed it). I never had an SCT so I don't have an context but loading with the nGauge still takes an eternity for me. Had to reload my stock tune and then the custom tune yesterday and it was BRUTAL. Is something wrong with mine?

On a separate note from my post above, should the car feel different after reloading the tune on a different firmware? My car is acting strange after reloading my Lund tune last night. I started a thread over here.

To erase and load a module takes me about 5 minutes. Not sure how long the SCT units take
