This is my first auto in a while and I was thinking of getting a Lund N-Gauge tune for the GT.
I was wondering how the auto tunes drive.
I'm hoping the tune will make the car take off like like it is in Sport+ mode but shift to 6th when needed. Right now what I do is take off in Sport mode then shift to D so it will up shift after I've accelerated to the speed I want.

What does the tunes do the the Sport, Sport+ and Track modes when selected?

Thanks

Herb

Sup Herb,

So I just got my Lund tune loaded on my 2015 GT A6 yesterday. Mods are in my signature. This car drives like a monster now, no joke. It throws my head back on every shift (feels like the DCT in my 135i) and will chirp the tires shifting into 3rd WOT with 275 summer tires on. Highly recommend. A little jerky unless you drive with a feather as your foot at low speeds but that's ok. Just drive it quickly! :)

The jerky low speed driving goes away if you have the e85 tune. I had it on all my tunes, 93/FF plus another tuner's 93 tune and it went away with the e85 tune.

I have a Rob Shoemaker tune on nGauge and my auto is a beast! It only shifts hard under hard acceleration but it nice and smooth when just driving normally. Doesn't matter if 93 octane tune or e85. Under full-throttle it will chirp tires shifting at 75mph! Love it! No drive ability issues at all. Could not be more pleased with the tune I have.

Rob can set it up how you want but will caution you if you ask for something that can harm your car

My Lund flex tune shifts so hard under full accel that the car literally kicks out sideways...it is making a ton of power! The improved shifting is one of the best features of the Lund tune IMO. Stock the auto tranny sucks.

Totally agreed. The car constantly feels like it is pulling against the reigns trying to break loose. Love it
