Drove car until it read 2 miles to empty and filled tank with e85. I pulled away from pump and loaded the flex tune and waited until the ngauge ALCH_PCT_was reading 30% and drove low rpm's until it topped out at 67%. I was looking for the ALCH_LEARN but it was not available. Is this parameter only available when the 85r tune is installed? What's the low end alcohol percentage for the 85r tune?

Is your nguage up to date? I think it is under alch_flag or something like that. Ill go look shortly. 0 means it is still learning, 1 means its locked

If you can pump e85 all the time your better off with the e85r mapping. Flex tune leave some on the table for safety and is not as agressive.

I have heard of people running on as low as 70% on the E85R tune. Always hand test and Lund wanted me to be at 80% plus when I asked about it

I think the car reading by itself is not 100% perfect, sure you can get bad fuel quality from 1 tank to another but not to be so worried

Station is about 5 miles away and I do plan on running the 85r tune exclusively. I haven't loaded the 85r tune yet, just curious if the ALCH_LEARN only shows up when that tune is loaded. I want to send a datalog for the flex before I change to the 85r.

The learn and pct are both flex tune only if i recall correctly. There is no learning on an e85r or other straight tune

Flex is the only one that has the learn capability. E85 has logic set to 70% ethanol content or higher. You only get the learn value when you're on flex with a Lund tune.

You don't need alcohol learning, you need timing advance
