Lowering springs, what else do I need to do with them?

I wanted a cost effective way to lower my car so I decided lowering springs would be ideal. I want to lower about an inch and half. What else do I need with the lowering springs because some people are saying camber bolts, camber plates, new bump stops, bump steer while the mechanic is in there. This seems like so much more stuff I understand if I need the camber plates but do I really need to do all that other stuff as well? This seems to be getting a lot more expensive than I had thought

If you are only dropping the car 1" then you can normally just do springs and maybe a $50 set of camber bolts and you are done. That's what 95% of people do.

Because you are going 1.5" you are introducing all sorts of suspension geometry changes and then you need to add things to bring the car back into alignment spec.

What do I need to add to bring the car back into alignment spec? I really wanted to do 1.5 but if I have to add a 1000 dollars worth of parts I’d rather just drop it an inch

Get you some Steeda Progressive lowering springs, subframe alignment kit, and camber bolts.
Lowered the car 1" in the rear and 1 1/4" in the front. Honestly I wanted lower at first but after everything settled I'm extremely happy with the stance.

You want to get that low? You have to blow the dough.

If I’m spend all this dough wouldn’t it just be cheaper to get coilovers or bags?
those don’t fix any of the geometry issues with lowering (except maybe camber depending on the coilovers you choose)

look, if you don’t care if the ride is shit and the car handles a bit worse because the geometry is a bit messed up from the severe drop, then just throw on the lowering springs and be done. If you care about ride quality or handling, then 1.5” is too much drop anyway.

Or if you only want to close the wheel gap on a budget just get the 1" drop springs.
