Lowering recommendations for DD

Hey everyone so I live in NW Indiana where our roads are either beautiful or pot hole/choppy/uneven strips of hell....but I want to lower my non-pp gt, I do want to get the BMR lockouts and those cradle alignment sleeves for the back there to help with wheel hop and alignment issues...but as far as springs I don’t know what to go with...I daily drive my car for now, so I don’t want a super aggressive ride that feels like a go kart going down the road....what are your ideas for lowering?

also I’m on the base 18” wheels and next spring I plan on upgrading to a nice set of bigger tires and wheels prolly 20”

Somewhere around .75”-1” drop is perfect for a daily car IMO. I like my Steeda sport linear springs but came very close to getting the BMR minimal drop (sp080 I think?). Anything over an inch is pretty impractical for a driver.

19' GT PP1 Manual
So these springs are good choice for the 2019 GT PP1 ? The product page doesn't mention anything about PP1 compatibility but there are a few reviews that do mention they replaced PP springs with good results. Not interested in replacing the stock dampers. My car is not driven daily. Not tracked at this time (might one day), just driven aggressively on occasion.

How well do these springs address the following:
Rear wheels feel like they are bouncing off the ground on rough road surfaces.
Too much nose dive when braking.
Too much nose lift when launching.

Yes, the Steeda progressive springs work very well with the PP1 set up!

I went with the Pedders Sportsryder lowering kit (springs, shocks, struts, strut mounts), I think I'm one of the first to do it. The amount of lowering is perfect, about 1.5", it still rides nice, has great control, and is nice and flat. Feels WAY better than my old 2012 on H&R Supersports and Konis

I'm not surprised that it rides better than your 2012 even neglecting the matter of stick axle vs IRS . . . those H&R springs ride too low even for an S197 and probably too low just for the Konis themselves.


loot - try to avoid getting caught up in any "some's good, more's better, too much is just enough" thinking here. When it comes to lowering (especially with struts and IRS), it usually turns out that "less is more" in the overall sense.
